I'm sure most of you are aware of it already as you follow the blindgamers list. We're hoping to set up a community site for developers to help each other out. It will also contain a mailing list for discussion between developers. We (the people who are organising it) hope that it might kick-start some positive collaboration between developers which can only be a good thing for the community as a whole. I have been wondering how this affects AAGRS lately and I think the answer is that it may or may not, depending on what people want to make of AAGRS and this new venture (likely to be found at agdev.org once the domain has been registered). If you would like to continue AAGRS as a separate project, then that's fine. If you would rather we join up with the new project and form a kind of ``ratings interest group'' below it, then that is also good. I don't intend to disband this list overnight; I just wanted to let you all know that there may be other ways to continue what we set out to do here in the future. I am still confident that a ratings system would be a beneficial thing to have and I hope we can finally see it through to completion, whether through the new project or as AAGRS, in the future. Best of luck to all of you with the work your doing at the moment; I hope that things are going well for you and also to see you on the developer's list when it is launched soon :-). bye just now, best regards, -- Matthew T. James North, if recalling, owns AccessibleGames.com why not see if you can get that domain from him I think he is simply pointing it to audiogames.net right now and not even using it. I think a name like that would be much more useful and meaningful for our industry. Also, who is to head this up? What information is to be offered on the site? I think the ratings system should still be a separate issue from this new adventure and then entegrated into it once we finish it up. As it is specifically for developers as opposed to gamers, AccessibleGames.com may be misleading but we could certainly look into it once we're set up -- thanks for the info. I am providing hosting and a few community members who're not affiliated to any particular developer are expected to moderate it. There has been one step forward so far. The discussion is taking place on the blindgamers list at the moment. I can put a link on this new site to point developers here so that if they are interested they can join us. bye just now, best regards, -- Matthew T. Atkinson
